Well, I survived about 2 and a half hours at work today before I felt so sick that, yup, I definitely had to go home. I fricking hate the way my cycle has been lately - it's bad enough that I have the mood from hell the week before, and all the icky during, and the dizzy that I usually get every couple of months except now it's more like every month, now I seem to be getting several days of nausea to the point that it feels like the worst case of seasickness I've ever had, in addition to unpredictable cramps from hell. Yippee.

Anyway, I'm ensconced safely at home with broth and bread and tea and the 2nd season of Buffy, which is my reliable comfort TV. Planning on some writing later when my stomach is less wibbly.

Oh, and hoping we don't lose power. I've heard the windstorm out there is a bit of a doozy, despite my usual opinion of the weather-people around here and their "the sky is falling!" mentality.

I've had cycles like that. In fact, I suspect my "under the weather" feeling today is just prelude to mine. *hugs*

Feel better! My power has been flickering, but nothing major yet. It's not supposed to be as bad as last winter's, at least.

*Hugs* I'm definitely feeling better than I was earlier, so that's a good thing. As long as it doesn't come back when the pills wear off, I should be good. :P

That's good. A friend of mine was saying her building was swaying in the wind, so I was kinda worried. Doesn't seem too bad here just yet, though. *Crossed fingers*

Thanks. I've got my fingers crossed that the worst of it was this morning, and it'll get better from here.

mine keeps getting worse, too. *hugs!* the first time it happened i was on campus and had about an hour between class and work. i thought i was going to puke, but everything was normal. i called my mom and she asked me if i was pregnant. GAH. no, periods just suck balls.

do you take multivitamins? sometimes i think part of my symptoms are due to a lack of iron or B12 or something like that.

I guess it's good that it's not an unusual thing for them to get worse - aside from mood swings, mine used to be relatively innocuous, waaaay back when. Now, not so much. :P

The worst of it is that it just hits with no warning. One minute completely fine, just the tiniest twinging maybe, and then bam. Full-on cramps that won't take pills for an answer, nausea like I've been bumping up and down in a tiny boat for hours, and it's hard to get so much as twenty feet down a hall without feeling like I need to sit down on the floor or something. Sheesh.

Kiiiind of? The thing is, I tend to forget the pill kind of vitamins, so I've been buying vitamin powders, which I actually do very well at remembering. But I only just recently found a brand actually designed for women, with sufficient calcium, iron, etc, and they're bloody expensive. So I'm probably not taking enough of them. And of course I lost my bottle of pills in the move, so I can't properly supplement just now. :P 'Cause I bet you're right about the vitamin thing. Or, at the very least, it sure as hell couldn't hurt.

Not exactly... there's someone in the building who has an open wireless network. So, internet. Though we really ought to get our own. I'm just way too lazy lately to handle it. :P

*Hugs* Yup, that pretty much covers it. I do feel better, although the amount of s2 that I watched over the last few days has me twitching to write Jenny/Giles again. I'd almost forgotten how adorable they are together.

It's not unusual for them to get worse as time goes by, but seriously, with cramps and symptoms that bad, do go get checked out for endo and PCOS. You can ignore them both for years and years, but at some point they'll catch up with you. Besides, wouldn't it be lovely not to have this mess every month?

Hope you stay feeling better!
