Yes, exactly! Out of all the telepaths who are dissatisfied with their lot (and it has to be most of them, because they really do have a bad situation), I find it hard to believe that the best leader they can find is this... whiney little GQ model cult leader with zero charisma. Whether it was the fault of the acting, the writing, the directing, or a horrible combination of all three, we never see the charisma that the teeps are supposedly reacting to. We hear about it, but that is so completely not enough to base a character on. I wouldn't follow Byron on a trip the local grocery store, let alone into rebellion that will probably get me killed.
