attention portal fans!

Portal fans! Go watch this video right now. No, seriously. Go. Right now. Enjoy. It is a thing of true beauty.

We can has a full movie now, right? With that actress and production staff? Come on, please?

I know, right? It's beautiful!

I'm pretty sure that was better done than the last Resident Evil movie.

Ooh. Ooh.

And, yes, I'd want that same actress for a full movie too!

Yeah, I have to admit, half my love of this movie is me going "Who is that actress??!!" She's awesome! And so perfect for Chell! ♥

That was awesome.

I'd love to see this company get funding to do either a small indy film, or a longer short. Hollywood would put some vapid young thang in the lead role, and screw the plot to hell and gone, you know they would.

Totally. If these guys put up a Kickstarter or something for money for a small indie film or whatever, I would so be donating. Because you're precisely right - if Hollywood did Portal, we'd get Pretty Idiot #3 as Chell, she'd be wearing next to nothing, and the plot would be ruined.

Clearly, whoever these people are, they get it.

And how much do I love that we live in an era where fan-made stuff can be that gorgeous?!

Yep. When Hollywood deals with computer games, they go for flash over substance, and ignore all the things that made the games awesome in the first place. I guess they figure that, since it's based on a game, only twelve year olds will watch it, so who cares if it makes sense?

OH yeah. My first experience with a good fan film was TROOPS. At the time, that was the exception to the rule. Now we're getting all kinds of short film awesomeness.
