can't bring myself to care that much, sorry

Sure, NOW my graduating class decides they want a reunion. In August. And they want to charge $25 per person for it, not including drinks? Oh, look, and it's being held at a casino. I hate casinos. I hung out the other weekend with some lovely people from my high school, with whom I actually had a few things in common back in the day (and, as it turns out, now), and you know what? That was entirely enough ten-year-reunion-ness for me, I think.

As Terry Pratchett once wrote, Buggre Alle This for a Larke. I believe I shall be too busy for this.

Or as Londo Mollari once said, I intend to be otherwise engaged.

Yes, that exactly. ♥

Mine's in 2 years! I'm pretty sure I feel the exact same way (I hope I won't even be in the country by then). I like your reply though... Maybe I'll send my invitation back with that in the RSVP.

Yeah, I'm not too shocked that I'm not all that interested, I've always sort of figured that the 10-year at the least seemed like kind of a waste of time, especially in this era of Facebook and email and all, but... it's still kind of funny.

Good luck actually getting an invite. Mine's being handled exclusively through Facebook.

I skipped my high school ten-year reunion, though I did get dragged to [livejournal.com profile] glasseye's (where the coolest person I don't see all the time was the one who snuck in). I have surprised myself by being mildly interested in the idea of my ten-year college reunion, which is in two years.

Hee, [livejournal.com profile] glasseye's reunion at least sounds like it was entertaining, if there were people sneaking in. :D I... can't even imagine a college reunion, but that's because, y'know, undergrad at UW in two fairly large departments. I could see an Anthro reunion being fun, but mostly because it'd be amusing to see what kinds of bizarre, random fields we all ended up in.

Wow, that's cheap compared to what they wanted me to spend for mine ($70 IIRC). Even $25 is entirely too much money to spend for the "fun" of going to hang out with people you couldn't wait to get away from ten years earlier. ;)

Enjoy your class reunion... by being somewhere else! XD
