something wicked this way comes....
Hey,
zinjadu (and all other Sean Bean and/or Shakespeare fans)...
Take a look at this.
♥ ♥ ♥
Update: Oh, and while I'm linkspamming... I did a little checking at the official Star Trek site (www.startrek.com, as though any of you couldn't have guessed it...) and found this:
In addition to clarifying that he may or may not direct the film, Abrams also distanced himself from Variety's report that the plot of "Star Trek XI" would revolve around a young James T. Kirk and Spock at Starfleet Academy.
"We've made a pact not to discuss any specifics," he said.
At the same time, though, he confessed to being a fan of the Original Series and remarked, "Those characters are so spectacular. I just think that... you know, they could live again."
I'm a bit relieved by this, honestly, mostly because the Starfleet Academy plot idea seemed even further from the usual Trek movie than I'd expect. Still very interested to see what comes of this.

Aw, Bones is a woobie. Well he looks like a woobie in those pics at least.
And I could totally understand that, who wouldn't want to stick a phaser up Captain I-Know-I-Am-Really-That-Good ass? Don't get me wrong Kirk is probably a nice guy but God he looks annoying.no subject
Yes, he really is. ^^ A cranky, cantankerous woobie.
Kirk is... kind of like Superman in a way. Or Carrot from Discworld. You'd hate his guts if he weren't so damned likeable.

I vote that he's like Superman. Because most of the time, I don't like either of them.

Before I skitter off to bed, I'll leave you with this bit from "Identity Crisis", cos it just about killed me.
Superman: He used a bowline knot.
Green Arrow: A what?
S: A bowline knot -- to tie the other end of this noose to the door. They call it a bowline knot, although he added a Dutch Marine twist.
G: And you recognized that?
S: It's a common Boy Scout knot.
G: ...Boy Scout. Right.
Anyway, bed!

*Snickers* Of course he was a boy scout. Of course. ♥
