what am I going to wriiiite?

Alright, people - this year, I am Planning Ahead for NaNoWriMo, mostly because I suspect it may be the only way I will actually get anything done. And I am bound and determined to actually finish this year. So.

Here's my dilemma: the last few years, I've actually managed to accumulate a couple of vague notions about things that I want to write, and I don't know which I should go for. So, inspired by a couple other writerly folks on my lovely f-list, I am soliciting your help in deciding which damned novel I should spend this fall desperately trying to write.

Ticky Box!

There's always the option of combining things, which is my Something Else. Combine other ideas into one, perhaps?

Also, I'd've checked fanfiction, except for the "original concepts are ass" thing. Fanfic for NaNo is deliciously self-indulgent. *nods sagely* But it doesn't mean original things suck!

I'm working on turning 'Exodus' into my version of option one. Um. Where 'working on' means 'ocasionally thinking *oh yes, Exodus, I was going to make a novel out of that wasn't I?'

I didn't click for Edward, because I wouldn't do him unless you figure out *what* you are going to do with him.

The urban fantasy would be fun, and even if you don't think it's original, so what? (And chances are, it's more original than you think--or it'll get more original when you spend more time with it.)

If you want help with preplanning ideas and such, you know where to find me. That's something I seem to be relatively practiced in. I probably won't be doing NaNo this year, though... of course, I say that every year and do it anyway ;)

Your last option has turned on the evil part of my mind, which is trying to figure out how to write a novel in ticky boxes.

I liked the idea of the Anthropological Sci-Fi, that sounds great!
Did you already put in your BPAL order?
If you haven't yet, could I add one to yours
and pay you for it since you're sending one in anyway? Let me know ok?
