Trouble is... they asked a lot about believing in "God" or attending "religious worship." Naturally, I have. Two days ago was Beltane for crying out loud, and I certainly believe in "God" if by that you mean "a big divinity that is good" rather than "GOD" as in this God right here in the Bible and no other. So... I don't think that was terribly accurate. And they asked if I believed in an afterlife. I don't know--really could have used an option between yes and no, there.
Saw "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead" last night. Absolutely amazing play. I worship the UW Drama department, they are totally breath-taking sometimes. And Tom Stoppard is one of the most amazing playwrights ever, as far as I'm concerned--his ability to combine humor with really mind-blowingly deep drama and questions about the nature of life and death.... wow. The whole play was the most amazing allegory of human life.
Now that I've sounded vaguely intelligent about all of that... I'd like to say that out of the six plays Cora and I have seen here at the UW this year, there has been at least one guy in nothing but underwear in EACH ONE. More often than not, it's been more than one. Last night it was four! If you think about it, plays are only like $5 here--less if you get a playcard, even less for me since most of the year I was using Kathleen's playcard that she left behind, so it really free. And for that, we've generally gotten a bit of comedy, some high drama, amazing sets, mind-blowing acting, and mostly-naked guys (frequently in speedos)!!! Now THAT's getting your money's worth! Oh, and the guy who played Guildenstern was gorgeous... but that's beside the point.
On another note, I found CassieClaire's livejournal, and another really wonderful little ficlet. Absolutely delightful. I've put her on my friends page, even though I generally dislike doing that with people I don't really know--it's just too great of stuff to not have direct link to.
Lastly, I bought myself a really pretty corset yesterday. So much for not spending money on more clothes, huh? I love how I can stand in the bookstore for hours, desperate to buy books for myself, and convince myself out of it.... and then buy a corset without a second thought. But, hey--it was only $18, and that's a damned good deal.
