Don't Run!
Oct. 27th, 2003 08:39 amSpent the weekend back in Renton with my mom - very good weekend. Hung out and watched a movie on Friday night and then got up in the wee hours to try to see the Northern Lights. Turns out we would've done better to try to see them *before* we went to bed.... oh well.
Then Saturday we went out shopping for a new winter coat for me. I'm appalled by how long it can take to find a long, well-fitted wool coat with a good cut. We spent essentially all day at it, and I think I tried on every damned coat in Southcenter mall. (No - I refuse to call it whatever they've renamed it because it's stupid and prissy.) While we were shopping we found this pile of pretty silk embroidered pillows. We picked one up to look at it, and there was a little note pinned to it that said "Don't Run!" We laughed so hard we had to leave the store.
Then, of course, yesterday was game and very nice visit with Derek. So, all in all, a very nice weekend.
I shall now pretend to get ready for work.
Finally, however, I did manage to find a coat I love, just in time for us to go over to the new Olive Garden and meet up with the family for a belated birthday dinner. It took 2 hours for us to get a table, but that also meant that the nice waitress gave us free appetizers, and the food was absolutely lovely.
