Dec. 2nd, 2003 10:03 pmThis 7:30 job isn't working. Or rather it's working, but I don't want to have it for the rest of the year. I like the extra three hours a week, but it essentially means that I have no free time, because I have to go to bed so damned early on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. And I'm TIRED all the time. Or maybe that's partially the remnants of the cold.... I *am* getting better, at least.
But... next quarter I have an 8:30 every day. So losing the job would only spare me one hour of sleep. Except I'd have to start ten minutes earlier so that I could get to my class on time... Gah. And I already was upset about getting up for the 8:30 every day. This is just going to suck.
In other news, I think a professor said "Good girl" to me today when I told him I'd go find the DVD player he said he needed. And then didn't use. Even though I had to have Brandon sneak it from upstairs because everything in the office is still in transit after our move from one office to the other. Got it all set up and ready, and he didn't get to it, 'cause he took forever on random shit. Between those two little facts (and the fact that he butchered a very nice poem by Mallarme) I was very unhappy with him.
Normally, being told "good girl" wouldn't really bother me - from a friend, for instance. No problem. But a professor I don't know AT ALL??? Not nice.
Assuming that's what he said.... I wasn't sure. But it sure sounded like it.
