Very few people know it, I suppose, but it's a recurring fancy of mine that I should join the Peace Corps and request assignment to one of those cold, dark countries that normal volunteers, I suspect, don't particularly want to consider. The Ukraine and Romania are both high on my list of possibilities.

On the other hand, those Romanian witches had better avoid selling their services in Germany unless they can show some pretty impressive results. How soon can we get the beauty industry brought before that same judge, do you suppose, for all those snake oil potions that are supposed to miraculously restore skin but actually don't do a damned thing?

I might be posting something more thoughtful and introspective later (and I certainly hope to post a few more of my Halloween fics!), but this is all I've got at the moment. Enjoy the candy, the costumes, and the last bits of autumn before winter starts in - it already feels like it's arrived here in Seattle. Brrr!
