*gazes at clock*
Jul. 29th, 2004 09:17 amI have a funny feeling that I'm going to be spending a lot of time here whining about how bored I am... turns out one of my bosses offered a bunch of people 40 hrs a week for the summer, so almost everyone stayed. Hence, fewer hours for little me. *Sighs* Meanwhile, I will be bussing in here four days out of the week... and hanging out with no work to do except that one hour.
On the up-side, this means I will pretty much be online as much as usual. On the downside, I'll be spending that time in a computer lab, rather than in my own home, which means I can't do goony things like sit around knitting and reading and listening to music at the same time. Well.... I could, but I probably have too much public shame to do so. At least the labs are air-conditioned, right?
Hmm... if things get too dull, I might check out a movie to watch in the library - the have these nice little carrels (is that what you call them? I think it is...) with screens and headphones. Mostly it's for people who have to make up a video from a class that they missed, but you can watch anything. So that would be fun. And I think I'll check in with the libraries employment listings, while I'm at it - I've wanted to work in the libraries since my freshman year, but they never seem to be hiring when I'm looking. Silly them. If I could get that, I could mix shifts in the library in between my hours at my usual job, and that'd be kickass.
I'm going to stop rambling now. For the moment. ;)
