Well, I finally managed to get Scand 270, a section of English 498, and some class on English modernism to go together without conflicting or requiring me to take an 8:30 class.

Instead, I'm taking a 9:30. Because, you know, that one hour makes all the difference in the world. *Grumbles*

Sad thing is, I'm actually relatively happy with the seminar I got - except I'm hacked off about the time. I wanted a later one, damn it! I don't like being up that early in the winter, it's cold and depressing, and Tuesdays and Thursdays I already have to stay late because of work, and now I have to be there early, too! Grrrrr. But... we're reading Jane Eyre again, and I get to read Persuasion and Kim, both of which I've wanted to read for a while. Less thrilled about Mill's On Liberty, but... honestly, this is pretty good, for the seminar choices this quarter.

Don't know what we'll be reading in the Modern English Poetry, class, but it's good to remember that 'Modernism' was the early half of the 20th century. According to the basic course description, it should include Eliot and Yeats, and other folks I like. *g* God bless literary of 'modern,' that's all I'm saying.

I get to take The Sagas, though. That's what matters.

Okay... back to bed. Although something (very stupid) in me says "hey... you could just stay awake, you know!" Blargh, no. That would make Jen fall asleep at work, most likely. G'night, again.

YAAAAAAY!

I'm so glad you were able to work the Sagas in without having to be at school "TOO" frigging early!! The rest doesn't sound too bad either!

*Squee* No, it shouldn't be too bad. At least it's only two days a week!

Well, 9:30 is better than 8:30 (says the girl with 8:30 music theory). Then again, I live in campus housing, so it's pretty convenient for me.

But you're reading good books! I actually really liked On Liberty. We read it for my "What is Justice?" class, and I thought it was pretty interesting. And getting rather more relevant.

Yeah, I'm gonna be moving a bit farther from campus than I'm used to, so this will be... interesting. It'll work out, though. Anything is better than 8:30, as far as I'm concerned.

I think I might have read On Liberty in highschool, but I'm not sure. Either way, it can't possibly be worse than John Locke or the Federalist papers. ;)

Well, Tuesdays, I'd be staying late for Dragon's Pen anyway, so on those days, I could ride back with you! :D Also, I don't mind getting to school a little early, as long as it doesn't mean I have to be awake at eight to be there at nine-thirty. XD;

But YAY! Congrats on The Sagas! ♥♥♥♥♥♥

Woot! You may change your mind after the first few sessions - my work ends around 10:20, usually, so you'd have to hang out for an hour if you wanted to come home with me. But I'd be thrilled to have the company, if you're up to it!

Yeah... I'll have to fuss with the bus schedules from the new place and figure out how early I have to get up in the morning to catch a bus that'll get me to campus before 9:30. I've been getting between 8 and 8:30, so I'll have to shift it back a bit more, I'm sure, to account for buses rather than walking. It still shouldn't be tooooo bad, though. Bleck.

Yay! I'm glad you managed to get your sagas class. And I would argue that an extra hour makes ALL the difference, at least for me. The thought that I get one more hour of not being awake is thrilling. The seminar sounds like fun, too. Although I don't know about Eyre about every other time I read it I want to hurl it across the room. The other times I like it ok. *shrug* go figure.

Hope you have fun this quarter!

Hopefully I won't dislike it this time, then, 'cause last time (the first time I read it) I really liked it.

*Hugs* Hopefully your classes will start settling down, after the holiday....

You'll probably be fine...it was the first time that I read it that I hated it. =)

I've always been a sucker for the Gothic romance plotlines. *g*
