insert gloating here
Nov. 17th, 2004 09:37 pmI have a kitty! He's staying with my mom until Friday, but I'm so happy and proud. He's two or three years old, and a whopping 13 pounds of creamy-orange ("buff," I guess is the technical term) medium-length fur and elegant boy-kitty.
And, because I am gloating,

Officially, his name is Jupiter. I like that name okay, but I'm leaning toward changing it... the current possibilities that have been suggested/I've thought of are Pumpkin, Eomer, Remus, Boromir, and Leo. Any other suggestions would be happily considered!

Date: 2004-11-17 11:05 pm (UTC)He also looks like a big softy, and I just want to cuddle him *grins*
Perhaps Remus would be good then :)

Date: 2004-11-17 11:09 pm (UTC)He's extremely soft, yup - nice, thick fur. For the cuddly-ness, Remus definitely seems to suit his personality best, I agree. Although Faramir could be pretty cuddly, I'd imagine..........

Date: 2004-11-17 11:11 pm (UTC)The main problem with Jupiter is that it's kind of a hassle to call. I always think of cat or dog names in terms of "if I have to call for it, how is that going to sound?" Weird habit left over from having indoor/outdoor cats when I was younger.

Date: 2004-11-18 10:07 am (UTC)Exactly, it's a very easy-to-call name. Although he'll be indoor-only, so that's not as huge a factor as it might be otherwise...

Date: 2004-11-18 05:53 am (UTC)Both my lads came from a no-kill cat shelter back in Tucson. Spooky is solid black and of the same size and plushtoyitude as your new addition. Ezra is a sleek, grey tabby. I wish you as much joy with Currently Nameless as my lads have brought me. :-)
