So much work to do this weekend....

Yesterday was far too damned busy. I got a bunch of reading done, sure, but we also had:

a) A panic over a neighbour's cat who got into our house and seemed hurt.

b) Another panic thinking the other neighbour's corgi was stuck between our two fences (he wasn't, he'd just pulled one of the boards on her side back so he could slip between).

c) Innumerable problems with Link chewing things.

d) Massive shock learning that the downstairs smoke alarm is so sensitive that it'll turn on if you take too hot a shower. Really fun, as that is the loudest fecking fire alarm I've ever heard.

And the worst thing is that my room is still a mess with un-unpacked junk from the move, so I get all distracted by the "must unpack!" impulse. Grrr.

I apologize, but the t-tunic making thing is not happening for me. I have just got to buckle down and get work done on my essays. *Hugs to all*

Damn, that's a sensitive fire alarm! I've gotten into the habit of unhooking mine while I'm cooking, because it'll go off even if I *DON'T* catch anything on fire. >>

Eeep, yeah. Thankfully the upstairs one is only bad if something actually burns. But the stupid downstairs one... yeah. We're gonna try keeping the door closed after showers, hoping the steam dissipates inside the room.

Wow, that IS a touchy smoke alarm! keeping the door closed after should do the trick. How close to the bathroom is it? I forgot the damn library book while I was there last night! So if you could remind me next time I'm up (probably to pick up the recorder.) I would appreciate it.
Have you tried the recorder yet? Hope it works out well.
