Seconded. The one RP I can keep up with at the moment, I'm watching in awe as my main character's life is completely destroyed.

Sadist, though, or masochist? I suppose it depends on whether you identify with the character or not.

One of my RPGs is going through a really interesting transition right now, and said transition is completely screwing with one of my characters. Hopefully it'll be okay with the mods if I try to explain. It's nothing that wouldn't be obvious from the front page of the games, I shouldn't think.

She (Narcissa Black, seventeen years old and from 1976) has been shot forward, along with a bunch of the other students and a few staff, into 1997 Hogwarts, without her favorite sister or her fiance, and trying to cope with what everyone keeps telling her about the realities of what said sister and fiance were involved in... and with the idea that they can't go back, and that all they knew is apparently destroyed.

So... yeah. It's an interesting time to have her in my head. ;)
