so much reeeeeaaaading
Feb. 6th, 2005 11:15 amHave finally finished Egil's saga. Am pleased to note it did not follow same damned format as last three sagas, with the whole "two brothers/foster-brothers/best friends fall for the same woman, she's promised to one, he goes off and, in the process of travels, massively insults the other and looks like he's not coming home, so his friend goes back and marries the girl, then he comes back and she's pissed off so she sulks/decides to have him kill her love/does both, etc..."
It was good. It was different. But enough the same that I wasn't confused except by a few parts.
Now, to the rest of my reading: A House for Mr Biswas, a few chunks from Matthew Arnold's philosophical theory (with one-page report and presentation due Tuesday), W.B. Yeats readings, and a paper on Jane Eyre, due Thursday. Ye gods I hope I have enough to say about my subject... I think I do...
So tired. So not wanting to do any of this shit. So much happy that my ear seems to be giving up its most recent attempt to explode my head. Also, so very happy that I have an eye appointment this Friday. Whee, new prescription.
