I actually made some pretty good progress this weekend.

Let's see... poetry paper is finished and just needs to be edited, now. I need to do my poetry reading, still, but I'm planning on taking that to work tonight, so that's fine. I'm done with my sagas reading for the whole week (although it wouldn't kill me to go over Eirik the Red's saga again - I kind of spaced on some stuff in there), and I started plotting for my seminar paper, which needs to be most of the way done by Thursday for my conference. So tonight will just be poetry reading, memorizing a poem to be recited in class on Tuesday, and then writing a response paper or two before Tuesday, and editing the poetry paper. Ah, and writing the intro for my poetry portfolio, too - I'll probably do that on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Not too bad, for how burned out I've been feeling. And I realized that I think my light blue over-dress will go with my red t-tunic, for Baronial banquet, so I might not need to make a whole new thing, after all. I can't find my belt and apron, though... they must've gotten into a different bag, somehow. Blargh.

Blue overdress and a red tunic should be fine. What time period is your persona in? I've been for 15 years and alternate between late Italian Ren and Ye Olde Tee Tunicke (usually at the War, when it's much more comfortable).

My persona is in flux at the moment - I prefer 14th century-ish English for formal stuff, but damned if I have the time, money, or sewing talent to make that kind of garb, so I tend toward earlier period, most of the time, especially during tourney season.

My main concern was that the two pieces wouldn't "go" together (modern vanity rears its head against period-ness once again), but it looks like it'll work out pretty well.

I just about freaked when I read the lower half of this post about the missing belt and apron, but I went and looked where I found the other bag, and I found a bag with the belt(it's black, is that the right one?) the apron, an arm band, the wooden chain that Gordon had made for you and some cording. If there's anything else, or if there's another belt, let me know. I'll bring this stuff up tonight, ok?

Sweet, no, that's it! I was figuring I'd just get along without them for this event and figure out where the disappeared to before tourney season, but that's great!
