What exactly would "putting the petal to the metal" look like, I wonder?

I think it would look something like a lot of the streets look right now with all the cherry blossom petals and dogwood petals all dead and squished on the ground. It always makes me a liitle sad when they start loosing their petals!
BTW I LOVE your St. Patrick's Day LJ look! It really pops open your eyes first thing in the morning, It's beautiful!!
