I consider Easter just kind of a belated half of Ostara, so I'm still happy to do the whole painting eggs (which we'll be doing tonight!), candy and bunnies thing - especially knowing that the bunnies down the street were doing what bunnies do best a while ago, so we should be seeing baby bunnies in not too long. *g* And [livejournal.com profile] narsilion came over with presents, including a ceramic kitty coin bank that looks exactly like a cartoon of Theoden - complete with white tummy!

Since it was raining and icky and we had to go on errands anyway, she even took me out to buy my textbooks. I'm less than thrilled at spending $142 on only two books, but at least the massively-expensive archaeology textbook looks like a good one. If I'm really lucky, I suppose I might find an earlier edition somewhere else and be able to return this one... but I'm not holding my breath, since it's an real textbook kind of textbook.

I think I'm going to get some drawing done, listen to music, drink Coke with lime, and eat candy. Maybe make a new icon, too - I'm getting sick of the orange rose.

No complaints about $142 for 2 books. I've paid about that EASY for just 1. Multiple times. Science books are EVILLL...

Make another pretty flowery one, I like the rose one :-) You can borrow any of my piccys you want, even ones I don't have posted.

Yeah, I know - I'm just used to spending tons of money for a ton of books, not a ton of money on just a few books. The difference between lit majors and science majors. ;)

I was definitely planning on another flower type icon. The rose is good, but the colors... I want something more spring/summer-y. *Digs through* I might practice drawing a few of these, too - I love orchids and magnolias and stuff for drawing practice.

Ooh, how is the coke with lime? We have one in our fridge but I've been scared to try it. I fear change.

I love it - it adds just a tiny tang, and if you like the flavor of lime I think it goes really well. I was hugely grateful when they finally started producing it in regular coke - the aspertame and overdose of caffeine in diet make me kind of unwell, but it tasted so good I was occasionally tempted anyway. ;)
