Feb. 17th, 2003 04:26 pmHad an awesome time going to Portland yesterday--picked up black wool for a hood to go with my unfinished winter cloak and three books, all of which I've been looking for (and all of which were used--go me!), had lunch at a great little authentic Mexican place, looked for some action figures Bethany's been wanting (no luck, sadly--but I did see the Eowyn action fig finally, and boy am I glad I *didn't* find it back before Christmas--it totally would've made me scream with frustration to see how ugly it was!), and generally fooled around looking through the biggest damned bookstore I've ever seen. Loads of fun.
When I got home I decided to finish the fanfic I've been reading--best to give myself closure and finish it off so I can actually concentrate for the rest of the week, not constantly thinking about wanting to finish it. But I was only able to get to the second-to-last chapter last night. So this morning I got up and finished it.... but NO CLOSURE because it's NOT THE LAST CHAPTER. Damn. I'd thought things were too complicated to solve so quickly... but I was hoping I was wrong. So now I have to wait to see what's going to happen. Aarrgh. Very bad for my sanity.
Quote of the day: "I mean, just because someone has wavy white-blond hair, sculpted cheekbones, and this really cute way of sucking on a quill when they're bored, doesn't mean that they're entitled to special treatment."

Date: 2003-02-17 09:26 pm (UTC)"Excuse me, master."
"You dare distrube Sauron, the forger of the ruling ring. The one ring TO RULE THEM ALL!?"
"So sorry master, but Cassandra Clare has posted another chapter in her fan fiction."
"Hmmm..." *Dark Lord accepts fan fiction* "Is it evil?"
"Yes, master! It is! It is!"
And hey, brain rottage is fun...except when you're trying to write a history paper.
