For
theladyfeylene, who requested HP or Highlander fluff, with a summer theme, and said I'd get extra points if it was Kronos-centric. She also offered the title, as a joke, and that's what really sparked it. It's a double drabble, because it demanded to be longer than just 100 words. Kronos is a demanding bugger, and he knew exactly what he wanted. *g*
White sand, turquoise water, unending sky, and his third tequila sunrise... Kronos lay back in his deck chair and sighed, perfectly content. It wasn't the old days - no, the world had changed, and for the better. Brighter colors, more efficient weapons, better drinks... and he much preferred cars to horses.
This time, it would be different. Methos could sprawl on the beach on that blue blanket he loved, and read whatever books he wanted, with all the beer he could drink. Silas had already amassed quite a menagerie - he especially loved the huge grey parrot Kronos brought him. Looked like a bloody pirate, but if it made him happy... And Caspian? With all the golden-tanned girls around their villa, who would care if one vanished after a night servicing their brother? No, things would work, this time. The world was their sand castle, and they'd do with it as they pleased.
"Methos." The old immortal rolled over to look, and grinned when Kronos beckoned him over. Long, lazy fingers fished a cherry from Kronos’ drink and teased his lips with it.
MacLeod had been stupid to think he could face them. This time, things were going his way.
