I know I just updated, but... what would I be missing on my computer that wouldn't let me play online games? Not really complex games, just stuff like Avalanche and Collapse on Yahoo games. I know there's something I have to have, but I can't remember what it is.

I downloaded Flash... but I'm still just getting a red 'x' in the corner of whatever I'm trying to see. Blargh. This whole 'starting fresh' thing is a bit harder than I'd have originally imagined - I'd forgotten how many programs I had to download the first time around.

The other possibility I can think of is that you could be missing java, which can be gotten at: http://java.com/en/ (click the big software download button on the right). If that doesn't do it I can take a peak at it.

Most Yahoo games use java afaik. Java.com.

Also, make sure you close all your IE windows and reset the computer. Sometimes they need a reminder that new stuff has been installed.

Nah, I did that. I think it's Java. I'll have to download that this evening when I get home from work.
