Well. My day just got significantly better, for a reason so stupid I'm nearly embarassed to admit it.

Picture Jen, walking toward the labyrinth of Padelford, where deep in the dungeons lay the English advising offices. Picture Jen feeling miffed and slightly depressed because yes, everything is messy right now. Now picture Jen glancing toward a random guy walking past, only really noticing him because he's wearing a funny hat and grinning like the cat that ate the canary. Picture Jen doing a double-take as she realizes.... that the guy looks strikingly like Peter Wingfield.

I so nearly turned right around and followed him to try to get a better look.

(And no, not "strikingly similar" like back of the head of that guy on Stargate last night. That was cruel and unusual punishment, and it's not my fault he has the same haircut and wears the same outfit I've seen in the one picture of Peter Wingfield from that show. And I will see one of those damned episodes eventually.)

Yes, I am quite probably insane. No, I don't care, because you know what? My mood just went up about three notches after that random encounter.

Well yes, a Peter Wingfield look alike would definately have a way of lifting the poorest of moods! You're a lucky girl.

Yup! Granted, the lighting was so bad (I was passing through a dark area with my sunglasses still on) and I got such a quick look, my brain probably filled in the blanks and the guy really looked nothing like him. But it cheered me right up, nonetheless! ;)
