Well, shit.

I was going to listen to Launch radio, because I don't have the kind of music I feel like listening to for my writing... but Launch doesn't support Firefox! Worse yet, it thought I was using Netscape!

Eugh. Well, I'll be digging through the CDs my dad loaned to me, now, to see if I have anything that fits... And I really kind of like Launch, too, darn it...

If you are feeling up to it here are some extremely long and complicated instructions that are supposed to fix that ;)

Or you could use internet explorer to get to it, should still be under your programs list.

Maaaan, things that only work under IE are lame. There is no damn reason for it. I pretty much refuse to use them, and not just because I run linux and can't run IE at home anyway...

No, there isn't a good reason, but I suspect they just sort of... appeal to the lowest common denominator, you know? IE is still the most common web browser, so it makes sense that things cater to it.

Sucks royally for those of us who don't want to use it, though.

It's okay. I'm going to check a couple of the other online radio stations I know about, to see if they're compatible with it, and if I really want to use them, I can just open a single IE window for that one thing. *Shrugs* It was just frustrating.

Well, exactly: the problem isn't that they appeal to the LCD, but that they appeal to them exclusively when it isn't impossible or even difficult to do otherwise in most cases. Really. The point of the Web is that things can be compatible and portable between platforms and programs, and I just don't understand why more people who program for the Web don't get that.
