mail call, slightly delayed
Sep. 7th, 2005 08:45 pmJust a moment ago,
nekokoban and I cleaned off the kitchen table and found among the usual detritus a bunch of IRS paperwork and a checkbook left by Kendra (the Now-In-France roommate) and/or her family, my credit card bill (don't worry, it'd only been MIA for a day or so!), and two postcards from wonderful people here on my friends-list!
The first was from
ellid, showing the beautiful merchant's row and food court at Pennsic - thank you! Everything looks so pretty, and I'm still amused as all heck that they actually make postcards. And the second was from
rose_whispers during her visit to Ontario! Just looking at all those pretty bright fall colors makes me wish I lived in a less temperate climate. Although I'm sure I'd regret it after a few weeks of Northeastern winter. *g* Thank you!
I owe both of you Seattle postcards, still, which I promise I will send out soon - I've been horribly bad about mail, lately. *Bounces*
...Oh, and the table is clean, now, too.

Date: 2005-09-08 10:30 am (UTC)Actually, there are about *twenty* different postcards from the War, plus a distinctive postmark. And there are new ones every year of the battles! I asked the people at the temporary post office if they do this every year, and one of them said that people actually volunteer to work at Pennsic because they enjoy the atmosphere so much. Made my day.
