Sep. 29th, 2005 07:50 pmFor the sake of saying, just because I've been seeing something of a backlash on my friends-list, from people I'm very fond of.
I don't care if people like things I don't like, or don't like things that I do like. I barely watch any anime, unlike most of my friends, and I also don't care to see "Lost," unlike pretty much everyone I know. When people post about those things, I scroll past - no harm, no foul.
Major edit: Yeah, this is me completely blanking out the rest of that entry, because it was me being neurotic. Ignore, ignore. No offense was intended to well-meaning friends, some perfectly normal stuff just got blown out of proportion because of things that have happened in the past.

Date: 2005-09-30 03:09 am (UTC)Yeah, I'm sick and tired of seeing un-cut massive images that fuck up my layout, giant bold letter entries that take off half my page, posts that pretty much say 'you can't be a true fan of such and such genre without liking this thing' and actually having people attack me in friends journals for voicing my own opinion, and calling me an idiot. So yes, I'm going to post and complain about that. Because I don't think anyone has that right when I'm polite and civil about things, and it pisses me off. I complain about shitty fans who have no consideration, that's all.
I don't want to sound harsh, but I think you're taking things way too personally.

Date: 2005-09-30 04:05 am (UTC)I had no idea you had zero interest in Lost as well. Count me as the other person who hasn't seen it (FWIW I've not seen 'Survivor' either)
And I also know I didn't add to the whatever it is happened.
But what I do know is that I just opened a double bottle of em>montecupliano d'abruzzo and you should come have some cuz it's way tasty.
I promise we won't watch "Lost". Or "Survivor."
But I am watching "Office Space."

Date: 2005-09-30 04:20 am (UTC)Nobody really did, honestly, it basically boiled down to me reacting to small stuff recently because of big stuff in the past. Stupid, and I blame getting little sleep lately. I have no idea what that is, but I'm presuming it's alcohol, and that definitely sounds good. Too bad any form of alcohol will just make my recent problems with waking up on time worse than ever. ;)
"Office Space" is a fun movie. It's been far too long since I've seen it.

Date: 2005-10-01 06:04 am (UTC)This is the danger of the internet. People's extremely singular passions come out in ways they would never imagine in the physical world.
I don't really like many things that most of my friends enjoy and conversely they don't understand the things that are important to me. I guess the only to say is focus on the stuff you have in common and tread lightly.
I'm glad my friends don't really read my blog or at least get upset by it. I write some pretty horrible things in it. Usually nothing specific, but occasionally I overstep the boundaries of good taste and rationality. I'm glad nobody mentions it. ;)
