Wheeee... As of about an hour and a half ago, I'm 23.

Yes, I know that's young and silly compared to some of you. And old-as-rocks compared to others. :D It's a nice, happy middling number as far as I'm concerned.

Many many many thanks to everybody who sent birthday wishes today - you guys are amazing, and made me feel so warm and fuzzy and happy. I'll be hanging out with my mom today, and probably completely ignoring the homework that needs to be done this weekend. So yay!

Happy Birthday. Does it make me feel old that you're younger than my first child? Nah. You're older than my second child. And I'm on my second adolescence *bg*

Hope you had lots and lots of fun today and lots of joy

It does! I actually had to do the mental math a few weeks ago to make sure I really was turning 23, not 24 - I got confused and thought maybe I was already 23. Embarassing, but true. So I can see how it'll probably feel even weirder as the year wears on...

Thanks!

Oh, awesome! That'd be so neat to look into. Everytime I look at the Pagan section in a bookstore, all I can think is "I could so do better than that..." ;)

*G* Thanks! Second adolescences are awesome - all the fun, with more wisdom to back it up, and a lot less of the bad kinds of silly stuff!

Sorry-- I never got to see my computer yesterday. (ah yes, the life of student leadership...)

Was it really that long ago, walking up hollow echoing ramps to portables? I guess so.

Hope you had a good one!

Hey, no prob - I barely looked at the computer yesterday, either.

Isn't it crazy? 6th grade was a lifetime ago, it feels like... and now that I think about it, it was about ten years, wasn't it? Wow.

I did, thank you! *Hugs*

Hi! I hope the next to last day at the Childrens Museum was tolerable.
I found the pic of you and Theo, it was indeed in the van, also I gave you your gifts yesterday, and for got to give you your b-day card, and the card that John and Sandy sent to me to give to you.
Do you want me to send them or shall I hand on to them till I see you next?

Happy Birthday! How exactly does 23 feel so far? It was better than 22 and 24 for me.

Work wasn't bad, thanks - not having been there for a while always makes it better, and there was a lot going on to keep things interesting.

Don't worry about sending them, it's silly for you to have to waste postage on something like that. I'll see you again soon enough. ;)

Thanks! 23 feels... well, not a hell of a lot different from 22, honestly. I think the next time I feel any different at all will be 24, when 25 starts looming and making me feel like I ought to be an adult. ;)

Oh god! Don't remind me. Orson Welles did Citizen Kane at 25. Most of my favorite musicians did there best work at 24-25. Me? I'm still an undergraduate. I'm going to be 25 in January. Oh god oh god oh god.

Oh yeah - I know how that goes. The idea that so many people are out doing amazing things at this age... it boggles me. And even on the less amazing things, so many people just plain know what they want to do with their lives, or at least the current part of their lives. Me? Not a fucking clue.
