Oh, and NaNo-Count? 16,094. I've long since given up on the goal of 50,000 and am shooting, now, for "as much as I can without fucking over my schoolwork."

I think instead of defeat, you should be proud of 16,094 words! That's a feat in itself.

Don't ask me why, but I just happened to think that you had asked me to bring you that small fridge so you could keep it in your room. Did I ever bring that up to you, I can't remember doing it, and it's too early for me to call my folks and see if it's still in their storage room.
Let me know, ok? If I haven't, I'm so sorry I forgot, and I will try to get it up as soon as I can!

I'm in just about the same boat. Work's taken over my life, both my current job and my efforts to get a new one. Between the two, NaNo's taken a forcible back seat, sadly.

My word count's about the same as yours, and I hope to do a lot of writing over the long Thanksgiving weekend, my I'm not thinking I'll make it to 50,000 at this point.

I do agree with hannelore...16,000 words is nothing to sneeze at! Be proud of what you have done, and what you'll do in the future!

Yeah, I'm actually pretty proud - I got a lot written this month, despite not really being on the bandwagon with the full NaNo thing. And I'm still working, too. I'll take my accomplishment where I can!

Don't worry about it, we can get it dealt with whenever. The fridge upstairs is cramped, but it's not impossible.

Thanks. *g* Life does tend to take over, and I'm just not at a place right now where I can be disciplined enough to fit in that much writing in addition to my job and classwork. I like having my relaxing time, too, whenever possible. ;)

In any case, you're right - 16,000 is a lot of words, and there's still time to make a respectable jump by the end of the month. I'm happy to see whatever I end up with.
