odd days

Theoden found my secret stash of non-dairy creamers this morning. Knocked them off the shelf (along with a bunch of other stuff) and then figured out to bite a hole in one so the creamer would leak out so he could lap it up. All part of his usual psychological warfare regime to make me feed him more often than I should.

I caved. He was crying so pathetically I got worried I hadn't fed him enough yesterday. I'm weak.

Oh, and I had the oh-so-fun experience of having to cancel my King County Library card today, because I think it fell out of my pocket not long ago. Why was this so fun? Because I have something like the most common name in the United States aside from "Mary Smith," and I've had something like four addresses within the same city since I got that card. So trying to remember which address I had listed on the card was seriously special. The woman was very nice about it, though. She even apologized for questioning me on my information once we finally found my account.

My roommate's cat and my old cat, Arwen, once managed to fool my roommate, my boyfriend, and me into feeding them *three* times in the span of about two hours. Long story, but basically we all had to rush into the apartment, grab some stuff, and then leave, and the cats acted so pathetic that each of us assumed the others hadn't feed them.

Very fat, very happy cats.

Theo would totally do that if he could. Thank god my roommates know my schedule and know what time I normally feed him, so they only do so if I'm late home from work in the evening...

So instead he just cons me into doing it by being a bastard while I'm not all the way awake, and I eventually get desperate enough to feed him to make him leave me alone. ...I'm such a bad kitty mommy.

It's so hard to get them to accept once-a-day feeding! But Theo's... umm... kind of round. At least with the new kitty you know it's going toward making her grow up big and strong - she probably needs a lot of food... Whereas Theo's just a munchy little bum. ;)
