My first issue of Bitch arrived in the mail today - a lovely 10th anniversary issue, no less! Many thanks to stormkpr for the subscription!!!

ETA: I'm cleaning my room (always cause for strange and confused posts, I admit), and I ran across one of my many little notebooks, in which I write, draw, take down little notes... the usual random sorts of things. One one page of this particular notebook is a single word in the upper right-hand corner, slightly indented.

That word is "porridge."

The worst thing is that it was written sometime in the last... I'll say eight months, judging by the surrounding pages. I wish I could say that I had some idea of what I meant by that...

I know it's simple stuff, but I am still so pleased whenever I learn something new. Go me. XD As always, I am now practicing my new skill like a madwoman... mostly so that I don't forget how to do it as soon as the little tutorial is closed.

I did! I haven't read it yet - I got through all the little non-feature articles and then decided I wanted to save the rest to read another night. But that one's top of my list next time I open it! :D

What's really bad is when you can't read and/or have no idea what the reference is, for your notes on a tv show you watched less than a week ago.

I've actually enjoyed a lot of what little Bitch magazine I've read.

Yup - I've been there, more often with little notes taken in the margin of my school notebook. Something about a story, or a snide remark about something another student said... and a week later I'm wondering what the hell I meant. *Headdesk*

This is the first time I've read it, and I'm really enjoying it. It's been a looong time since I've really read any magazine other than occasionally picking up Psychology Today or something at the library, so it's especially fun.
