Had a lovely little holiday visiting Cora and seeing Battle Ground, Washington. It's actually a cute little town. Watched movies, hung out in hot-tub, saw the assisted care place where she works, scanned a bunch of my fan-art, went swimming, and generally had a lovely time with one of my favorite people.

Wednesday the Housing people from school called Cora's house to let her know that a spot had opened up for our group in Stevens Court apartments. We were thrilled beyond belief. We ran about callling parents, trying to get hold of the rest of the group, and checking rates on the website, and then decided that YES we would do it. Then, after accepting and getting off the phone (again) with the lady, we realized that the number she'd quoted us for the rent was $20 a month more than the website had said, along with some other potential problems. Panic ensued. Eventually, we decided that we'd rather stay in our nice happy little dorm room where we wouldn't potentially be stuck with 2 people we don't know and where the rent is cheaper and we can eat on campus for lunch and stuff. A bit anti-climactic and slightly disappointing, but better than the nerve-jangling half-panic I was in before we made that decision.

Today, I must go to check in at the office, and then buy groceries. I had chocolate cake for breakfast, because I remembered only this morning that I'd finished off the bread and yogurt before leaving on tuesday. Am not complaining--chocolate cake and milk = very nice breakfast.
