an awful lot of books to read
Mar. 23rd, 2006 12:18 pmReading list, updated:
Equal Rites, Terry Pratchett
The Telling, Ursula K. Le Guin
Going Postal, Terry Pratchett
Guards! Guards!, Terry Pratchett
A Short History of Nearly Everything, Bob Bryson
A People's History of the Civil War, David Williams
I seem to be on a roll with the Watch books, so here's a thought - I'm going to try to read the rest of them in order. In order to help myself, I've worked out a list of where I am so far with the Discworld universe.
With that said, let's all remember that I somehow have managed to read everything up to this point in pretty much completely the wrong order, starting with "Lords and Ladies." And, of course, remembering that the first Watch book I read was "Thud." Alas.
The Colour of Magic
The Light Fantastic
Equal Rites
Mort
Sourcery
Wyrd Sisters (?)
Pyramids
Guards! Guards!
Eric
Moving Pictures
Reaper Man
Witches Abroad
Small Gods
Lords and Ladies
Men at Arms
Soul Music
Interesting Times
Maskerade
Feet of Clay
Hogfather
Jingo
The Last Continent
Carpe Jugulum
The Fifth Elephant
The Truth
Thief of Time
The Last Hero
The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents
Night Watch
The Wee Free Men
Monstrous Regiment
A Hat Full of Sky
Once More, With Footnotes
Going Postal
Wintersmith
Thud
I've got a notion that I've read all the Witches' books (I read them first, then a few of the Death books, then just recently started the Watch ones), but... I don't know, the last time someone was reading Wyrd Sisters it sounded only about half familiar. So maybe I missed it somehow.
So... would I be right in thinking the next one I ought to hunt down is... "Men at Arms"? I hope so. ETA: borrowed
