foiled again
May. 11th, 2006 07:59 pmCurses. I realized "oh, I should have my social security card for the interview tomorrow, just in case they want to check it." So I go through my usual sooper sekrit hiding system for important papers... and find both my old driver's license and the temporary of my current one, but no social security card. "Oh," I think, "Guess that means it's still in my wallet." Nope, try again.
Umm. Why? Why am I stupid? Could someone explain to me why I seem to think it's a good idea to do Clever Things with important pieces of paperwork? Please? Because no. Just... just no.

Date: 2006-05-12 03:23 am (UTC)Probably the last time you had it was at The Children's Museum, huh?
Are you sure they gave it back to you? Or maybe even thinking of when you showed it to them might jar a memory?
What movie did you see with marc today?

Date: 2006-05-12 04:12 pm (UTC)I checked all the obvious spots, and a few less obvious ones. I totally thought I remembered where it was, at one point, but it wasn't there. :/
They only take it to make a copy, I kind of doubt I wouldn't have noticed if they didn't give it right back to me. It's just a matter of remembering what clever hiding place I found for it after that.
"Weather Man," with Nicholas Cage. Pretty good, though weird.

Date: 2006-05-12 03:26 am (UTC)On the bright side, I love your icon, and that episode of X-Files. If you get this FBI job, I am totally going to have to bone up on my X-Files icons!
