damn allergies

Ugh. My right ear is plugged (I know, shocking... :P), my neck is stiff, my head feels like it's full of cotton... maybe I spoke too soon about my allergies being oh-so-much-better in the city.

In other news, I apologize muchly to the folks who are waiting for that meme I posted a while ago - I really am doing it, it's just turning out to take me for frigging ever. I'll hopefully get a few more done tonight when I get home, since I don't have homework for tomorrow.

Still working on fic. Still doubting my paper (eep, it gets workshopped this afternoon! this is going to be miserable...), and a little bit leery of the fact that I fought off my first B5 bunny yesterday. Don't worry, it was just a little one. But I know I'm in trouble with a series when I start getting bunnies. o_O

I'm sorry to hear that you're not feeling well. It sucks to be sick. And good luck with your homework and papers. I'm certain that you have done fine, you seem to study well and a lot from what you've said here in your journal.

Watch out for the bunnies though, I know from experience that they can ambush you unexpectedly.

It's just the stuffies, nothing too awful, and the paper... eh. Worst that'll happen is that I have to start over with a new topic. Which would suck, but wouldn't be the end of the world.

Tell me about it. Damn thing jumped up and bit me in the leg, practically. There I was, just innocently talking about the show with my housemate who's seen it.... and bam. *Headdesk*

Are you feeling better, by the way? I wasn't sure how much you'd be reading LJ, since you sounded like you needed sleep uber-badly.

*Nods emphatically* Although bunnies might = bad in this case, too, considering I'm only one season through the series. Ah well. Sign of things to come... like I need one more fandom to have bunnies for. :P

My last day of class is the 1st of June, but I have a final on the... hmm. 7th? And then my graduation ceremony is the 9th. The UW starts and finishes kind of late compared to other schools, 'cause we're on a quarter system rather than semesters.

Yep, although it feels like no time at all. Scary. I've been doing the full-time-school thing for 17 years - I'm kind of afraid I'll get out into the Real World (tm) and discover that academia is the only thing that I'm actually good for in the world. Well, that and writing random, derivative character vignettes in universes created by other people. Ah, life.

But, hey - it's sunny and warm and I only have one class tomorrow, so I'm not going to think about any of that!

When I watch BSG these days, I think of all the insightful things you would inevitably come up with, and cross my fingers that one day that time will come.

Leaving school for the Real World (tm) is most defintely a scary and uncertain time. But that will fade. I can hardly even remember how to write a research paper anymore. Not that I graduated or anything, but it's the same idea. XD

I know - I figure it really won't be that bad once I get out into it, but it's a weird feeling. That and most of the jobs I've had up til now have just been the sort of thing where I figure I can suvive anything for three months, you know? That and my school job, which is so nice most of the time as not to really count.
