U-District Street Fair was today! I (overslept, and then) went out to enjoy it with pauldf, and ran into maho_kiwi, laylah and nekokoban while we were there, as well as numerous people that Paul knows because apparently he's popular like that. ;) I also got a little bit of a sunburn on my forearms. Curses. My face, so far at least, seems to have escaped safely. *Crosses fingers*

In other news... I should really be working on my paper. But isn't this just the cutest thing ever? Cuteness! I'm not sure which one to coo more over!

...I'm going to go write my paper, now. Really.

I am so in love with how much they all truly care about each other. It's obvious from everything that I've seen / read that it's genuine.

Good luck with the paper -- just think, you'll be done soon and you won't have to write another paper again! Unless, of course, you want to. XD

It really is amazing, isn't it? Usually in any cast it seems like there's at least some sign of a degree of animosity or even just kind of "meh, whatever" between at least some of the cast. But with Firefly, it really does seem like these guys genuinely like each other. I love that.

Thanks! I've got three due in the next few weeks, and the one I'm writing today is just a draft, basically, so it doesn't have to be perfect... I just want it to be pretty good so that I don't have as much to improve on later in the game. And dear gods yes - I adore writing, so I'm sure I'll keep working on it, but it'll be nice to not be under any need to write about things I'm not interested in anymore!

It is! Basically the same stuff they always had at Salmon Days and all that, but it's still loads of fun. And there were sooooo many cute dogs, too. That's always fun, seeing all the fuzzies.

Theresa and I watched A History of Violence last night in the hotel room. Very different than I expected, good, but graphic in "many" ways.

And you were expecting a movie with that title to be... not graphic? *pokes* Why do you think I didn't run out to the theater the minute it came out? I love Viggo, but not that much....

Unless it was the other kind of graphic, in which case I'll simply say "and the verdict is...?"

Hard to imagine a guy with that much charisma can be anything less than horribly attractive in that kind of situation. But he is a bit... odd.

You'd have to see it. It's a good movie, just quite different. I'm not sure what I thought I was expecting.

I never knew exactly what to expect from it, either, and I guess that's a large part of what made me leery of it to begin with. If I can't get a good concept of what the director/producers/etc were going for in a movie, I'm not confident enough to actually go see it. Too much chance of it being something I'm really not interested in dealing with. *Is a big weenie*
