I was afraid of this.
So the UW finally sent back my *newest* financial aid statement, after going over my dad's tax information. Behold - I am now totally screwed.
If I thought it was bad before, this new statement is their cheery little way of saying "oh, don't fret dear. It could be so much worse. And look - now it IS!!!"
They took away *everything* except my one scholarship that stays with me until I leave the UW. They're not even offering a loan anymore. So much for my great record of paying relatively low tuition. My mind is totally boggled by this.
And, to make matters just that little bit worse, I just found out that the SCA needs a receipt from all the way back in the first weekend of June. I will happily give them the $30 that I quite easily recall belonged to them as the remainder of my advance for that event... but the likelihood of my finding that receipt is less than nil. *Glares at /someone/ who took this long to tell me that it was needed.* I know, I know - we all forget things, and this /someone/ was quite busy at the time. However, so was I. We all were - it was the end of the school year. And I know I missed the meeting where this was discussed back then... but it's not like this /someone/ doesn't have my email.
*Holds self back from further ranting, as it could quite surely spiral from here into total madness.*
Anyway. Finally saw Matrix: Reloaded last night - very fun, pretty movie. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Lots of thanks to SableBadger and LadySonnet for taking me!
And I hope LadySonnet hasn't found *too* many undyed patches in her hair...

Eeep!
Date: 2003-09-13 09:59 pm (UTC)But you'll be glad to hear my hair looks great! No undyed patches to be found. :) In fact, if there was any trouble to be found (which there's not!) it would be that there's a lot of dye on my scalp - but that's not really a problem, because that means that you were really thorough about getting my roots!
Hooray!

delivering some happy
Date: 2003-09-13 11:28 pm (UTC)Let's see....
Four words and a couple of pictures might do it.
Entertainment Weekly. Johnny Depp.
Came in the mail yesterday. I almost died. And uh that second pic is really a full-page one... but of course no one was nice enough to put up full-size pics online yet. And my scanner is not cooperating.
Buy the magazine. Or just go gape. The article's actually really enjoyable. And the pictures are realllllllly prettiful - as you can see. *snogs*
Happy? Happier? XD
My work here is done.
