Well, given that Remus already is a professor, and that Bashir would have the same problem with students that he does with his patients, I'm going to vote for Remus, and leave him teach Defense Against the Dark Arts, but also add minority studies to his docket. Because he'd be good at it.
2. Do you think 4 is hot? How hot?
*Mumbles* Yes. I don't know why! But I do! I always have! It's something about the voice, and the attitude, and the really really pretty blue eyes, and... okay, I'll admit it, I like the scales, too. 3. 12 sends 8 on a mission. What is it, and does it succeed?
I'm very frightened by the image of Methos and Elphaba doing anything together, but I'm guessing that what happens is that Duncan and Galinda go off together on some sort of Mysterious Mission, and so Elphaba and Methos, with much complaining, decide that the two sappy morons can't be left to their own devices. Mostly because they'd be bored without them. So off they go to rescue the two dumbass idealists. They succeed, but only because Joe helps them. The real turn of the tide comes when Nessarose kills Cassandra for usurping her title as the Wicked Witch of the East. XD
4. What is or would be 9's favorite book?
Secretly? He read "Carrie" as a twenty-something and has never been able to quite get it out of his head. No, I'm joking... Seriously, I think he'd really go for Dostoyevsky.
5. Would it make more sense for 2 to swear fealty to 6, or the other way around?
Oh god, reverse it! Remus would totally swear fealty to Inara. Because she kind of inspires that in people.
6. For some reason, 5 is looking for a roommate. Should s/he share a studio apartment with 9 or with 10?
I knew I put Londo in here for a reason. XD See, Snape would poison Mulder within ten minutes of meeting him, whereas Londo and Mulder... damn. I can really see those two getting on pretty well, honestly. They'd drink, and eat a lot of food, tell lewd jokes, and watch porn together. They'd be best buddies, until Scully came around and wanted to know why the fuck Mulder was suddenly rooming with Napoleon.
7. 2, 7 and 12 have dinner together. Where do they go, and what do they discuss?
Wow, until Elphaba got involved this almost made sense. o_O
So, Zoe and Inara go off for dinner at a really nice Mandarin-style restaurant to get away from Mal and his moods, and they run into Elphaba, who's sulking over how Fiyero and Galinda are both dumb. They end up getting absolutely smashingly drunk together, sharing all kinds of crazy stories, and when Mal, Wash, and Fiyero come to find their girls, Fiyero and Mal are both immediately convinced that the apocalypse is nigh. Wash doesn't care, because the girls have generally agreed that he's a Good Man, and even Elphaba seems to approve of him in a drunken and still-surly sort of way.
8. 3 challenges 10 to a duel. What happens?
...You mean after Londo dies a horribly quick yet gruesome death? G'Kar would be so happy that he'd try to kiss Ivanova to show his gratitude, and then she'd punch him and cause an interstellar incident. Fortunately, everybody knows he's an adorable old lech, so it really wouldn't go far. And Vir wold be made the new ambassador, which would be horribly cute and probably do a lot to speed peace negotiations along.
9. If 1 stole 8's most precious possession, how would he/she get it back?
He'd con Duncan into getting it for him, of course. The question here is more what Methos' most prized possession would actually be, and why Mal would want it.
10. Suggest a title for a story in which 7 and 12 both attain what they most desire.
What is it with Zoe and Elphaba getting put together? "Warrior Women and the Happy-Go-Lucky Men Who Love Them"?
11. What kind of plot device would you use if you wanted 4 and 1 to work together?
Umm... that would be a plot called 'doom.' Uhh, seriously, I'm kind of embarassed to admit that I already wrote something that came damned close to this. But clearly it'd involve Serenity getting tossed through one of those ubiquitous Federation subspace anomalies, and ending up in the Star Trek universe, whereupon they decide that, hell, maybe they don't really need to get home after all. They could run that galaxy inside of a few weeks... but apparently they need help from aspy good tailor to do it?
12. If 7 visited you for the weekend, how would you get along?
Well, first there would be the embarassing attempt to not fall all over my feet in the face of one of the most beautiful and scary women ever. But after that... hard to say. I think I'd kind of irritate her, honestly, but I hope I'd be able to endear myself eventually.
13. If you could command 3 to perform any one task or service for you, what would it be?
It's really hard to command a task or service of someone when all you really want is to beg to know what you can do to make them happy. For the sake of argument, I'll say that I'd ask her either to teach me some basic hand-to-hand self defense, or to go out on a quick jaunt in one of the fighters. Because damn would that be exciting, and you just can't pass up an opportunity like that.
14. Does anyone on your friends list write or draw 11?
I thinkmrs260 is the only one so far.
15. If 2 had to choose sides between 4 and 5, which would it be?
Inara choosing between siding with Mulder and with Garak. Now that's... huh. I think... Mulder might remind her of Mal, but I can't decide whether or not that'd fall in his favor. And Garak is certainly charming, but Inara's a clever woman, and she could probably see through that. It'd really depend on the situation, but I think Mulder's earnestness would appeal to her and eventually win her over.
16. What might 10 shout while charging into battle?
*Sporfles* Battle? Umm... I'm sorry, all I can think of is "But in purple, I'm stunning!

I would just like to note that Queen's "Hammer to Fall" came up just as I came to this question. But seriously, it's all about Sting's "A Thousand Years."

Well, Remus would pretty much just roll over and politely offer it to the other two, and I think the last vestiges of Mal's gentlemanly manners (which he may pretend not to have, but which totally still rule him, IMHO) would make him give it up to Elphaba. Which would really confuse and slightly irritate her. ...And that would remind Mal of Inara, and confuse him.
19. What might be a good pick-up line for 2 to use on 10?
Inara. Hitting on... Londo. Oh god. "You're clearly a man of..." *Inara pauses and gives one of those slightly pained smiles* "Extravagent tastes."

Indecent exposure? Nah, he'd get arrested on trumped-up charges of interfering with justice or something, because the bigwigs finally got tired of laughing at his little escapades. And Scully would have to bail him out. Again.

Oh thank god, I thought for a minute this one had fallen on Garak, and I was ready to say "you want just one?!" But Remus' secret is that he's in love with Severus, of course. He always has been. Yup. It's canon.
...Or just that whole thing about him not being able to say no to people because he's afraid of losing their approval and/or friendship. Little things like that.

So... lemme get this straight. Mal and Snape team up (!) to save the world from the Obsidian Order (well, it is his organization...), with Bashir's help (poor Garak!), and... oh. Heh. I seriously wasn't reading ahead. Ohhhh, that's perfect. Anyway, so Garak and Julianrun away to be together kidnap Elphaba... Because that'll help their case. Somehow. It's around here that they clearly lose their mind, because going ot Mulder sure as hell isn't going to help, but I guess it must've been one of his sane days if he sent them to Ivanova. Because hell, if anybody can save the universe, it's her.
The title of this fic is clearly "Always Boom Tomorrow." But I could also be satisfied with "How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Government Conspiracies," or "Fandom Collision: The Revenge."
