bits and pieces
Sep. 6th, 2006 10:02 amI hate junk email. Inevitably, in my efforts to get rid of it, I delete something that's kind of important. *Headdesk* And my work email? Doesn't have a "garbage" folder. When you delete things, they're just gone. Oops. o_O
It wasn't... immensely important... at least I hope it wasn't...
I've been rabidly emotional lately. I'm not sure what the hell is going on, but I'll be very glad when my emotions settle back down, thankyouverymuch.
And on a totally random note, I'm a bit disappointed by the end to the "looming succession crisis" in Japan - as relieved as I am on Princess Kiko's behalf that the baby was a boy, I really hate that this is going to shelve the female succession issue.

Date: 2006-09-06 07:55 pm (UTC)It might be the stress of getting back from your trip that's making you feel wonky? I know I feel weird after coming home from something exciting like that. Or, yeah, maybe there's just something in the air - I haven't got any good theories for myself, that's for sure.
It's been good! Had a great time on my vacation, still haven't developed pictures (I suck at finishing off rolls of film...), otherwise just kind of doing the work/writing/hanging out thing. How was your trip?

Date: 2006-09-06 08:45 pm (UTC)The trip was fabulous, as you can probably imagine, and it'll take me a few days to organize everything in my head as far as posting about it goes. There's just so much that went on and some of the coolest stuff is practically impossible to explain or take pictures of, but we'll see how I do. It was absolutely amazing, though, and I had the time of my life. Well, the time of my year, I guess, since I'm planning on going every year that I am physically able.

Date: 2006-09-06 08:53 pm (UTC)I'll be looking forward to your updates about it - I've always heard about Burning Man, but never really had a strong concept for what, exactly, it entailed.

Date: 2006-09-06 09:15 pm (UTC)Oh, most definitely. That's something I'm acutely experiencing right about now.
And yeah -- updates will be ... someday. Maybe I'll be all caught up at work by tomorrow and then I can start typing. I wrote like ten pages front and back in a notebook while I was out there, so I've got a lot to say. Yeah.

Date: 2006-09-06 11:04 pm (UTC)Finally, around 2:30, they call and say "oh, the truck's running late, we're not sure we'll be there by 4." I told them I'd be here til 5, no worries, and then figured I'd be clever and scamper off for a quick break. I get back and lo and be-frigging-hold, guess who's here with the handtruck and pretty much the whole office trying to figure out how the heck to make the packages get out? Yeah. That was great.
No rush, I know it'll take you a while to get settled back in. :D
