I apparently suck at journal entry titles. I also don't seem to believe in capitalization... hmm.

The year (2006) in review:

January - new year
February - lessons are learned
March - speaking out
April - tv
May - Beltane!
June - paper-writing, still
July - a thought on Inara
August - flying spaghetti monster = work of satan
September - friday five
October - lazy sunday
November - new month, new season...
December - I live! also, I write!

So... yeah. I really do have more interesting entry titles, sometimes - they just seem to not ever be the first one of the month. Ah well.

House holiday party went very well, I think. Cleaning went well, with thanks to my mom. Dinner went well, with thanks to Kendra and Kari. And Kendra and I managed to light the pudding on fire without catching anything else en flambe', and no one choked on any of the fortune-telling bits. Yay. I got several wonderful books from Sean, Dora, and Kendra, a very pretty necklace from Claire, a pair of multi-purpose and fabulously shiny rhinestone clips from Kendra, and a tarot deck from Jessie and Kari. Fear me, I now own two divinatory tools... and that's not counting my propensity for near-trances while stirring peas. ;) I'm definitely going to be studying up on these cards, and working to get used to them. Same thing needs to be done with the set of runes I bought myself a while ago... new tools always take me some time for getting used to.

Now I'm going to go back to being nervous about hearing back from U-Books tomorrow. I'm scared that they don't want to hire me, scared that they do want to hire me (and, thus, when they will want me to start, whether it will be a disaster like my last job, etc, etc, etc)... just generally scared. And I still have presents to be making. And fic to be writing. And a semi-formed novel to be working on. Blahhhhh. Much nervous edgy what-have-you-ness.

Good luck with U-Books! That's exciting, if scary. I hope it turns out incredibly well, all your dreams come true type thing. Super luck, and keep us posted!
Also good luck with your many fun-sounding chores. Writing, present making... you are so impressively productive! (Although I guess it's easy to be excited about those things when I'm the one who's benefitting with no effort on my part - looking forward to the fic!)
In other news, I love your new LJ format!

*Hugs* Thank you!

I'm productive in spurts, I guess... sometimes I just sort of slug around reading fic and watching tv, particularly last week. I was in a big-time slump then. But it's all falling back in, now!

...Except I lost one of my knitting projects. It's half-finished, I had it yesterday, and now I can't figure out where the darned thing is hiding!

And thanks on the layout! Not my work, sadly... it's one of the pre-formed options. But I very much like it!

Ooh! Knitting! You know, I should really pick that up. Maybe it would make me feel more productive if I could take TV breaks and still actually be doing something worthwhile! Good luck finding it! What are you making?

It's really handy that way, with the tv thing - I can actually excuse watching three or four episodes of something at a stretch because I'm making something. Bonus points if they're presents. :D

And I found it! The project in question is a hat for a friend, but I'm also making a sock (my first) and a scarf. Good thing I have multiple sets of needles...
