...But I'm not going to complain much about it, because I've had a very nice day.
I started out the morning with some knitting and NPR, then moved upstairs to ensconce myself on the couch, listen to the rain, drink tea, and have my breakfast while reading. Then the mail came, and I knew that any potential of my venturing out into the wet and windy world was ruined - the new issue of Bitch was in the box. As usual, I can't get that into my hands without ripping it open and immediately devouring the whole thing. Many thanks again to
stormkpr for addicting me to this magazine. ♥
And then, just when I thought the day couldn't get any more happy-lazy-fun, the house received our Christmas package from
theladyfeylene! I succumbed to my "instant gratification" impusles again, I admit - thank you for the doll, Fey! I'm guessing that her resemblance to a certain blonde-haired socialite of my former RPing is no coincidence. ;) I'll have to find a good display spot for her. Good timing, too, circumstances (including
niwatorimegami's adorable new dolfy (ouch, is that the spelling?)) have been conspiring to put me in the doll-mindset, lately. I even dragged out my porcelain dolls from their trunk the other day... boy was that a flashback. The biggest temptation is a site
maymargaret found on making cloth dolls. I used to make rag dolls when I was little, but now I'm looking at the "kimono" doll and thinking what a fun project that would be. So. Expect neurotic posts about that little project at some point in the upcoming future.
Oh yeah, and my knee is functional again. Yay.

Date: 2006-12-14 11:44 pm (UTC)Oooh, Dollfie.... those are so gorgeous but so expensive. If I had the spare cash, I'd get one of those. They're so pretty!

Date: 2006-12-15 01:46 am (UTC)Yeeeeeah, the cash thing is what gets me, too, obviously. But damn they're pretty. If I ever get exceedingly rich, I'll add them to my list of things that I might splurge on. The pictures on the net are one thing, but actually seeing them up close really made me appreciate the detail.
