Dec. 23rd, 2006 08:05 pmI get feedback at this job. *Boggles* Like "hey, you're really doing well on the register" and "you seem to have everything pretty much in hand - do you have any questions?" This is a strange and novel concept to me. Also, my manager brought in pastries from a local French bakery for everybody who was working today, which made my day significantly brighter. And I got to chat briefly with this totally adorable professor I took Intro to Western Religions about half a decade ago. No, literally. He didn't remember me in the slightest, but he's adorable nonetheless.
...In other words, still liking the job even though I get tired and don't have the same days off as my friends anymore. Which sucks completely, but what can you do? My biggest problem so far is that a lot of the time all I want is to hunker down someplace and start reading the books, which really isn't what they're paying me for. Alas.
Fic-work is being problematic. Obsession with spider solitaire is not making it easier. Otherwise, life continues as usual.
