shopping day!
Jun. 16th, 2007 06:08 pmToday was a big errand day for me, with lots of shopping. Had to drop off my first check from the new company, first off, because they haven't got my direct deposit set up yet, then it was off to Bartells for some new makeup, and the hardware store to buy supplies for a Special Project that
maymargaret and I have in the works.
Stopped at Buffalo Exchange to buy a few t-shirts, and then, the biggest part of the day, down to U-Village to buy some CDs; I finally now have my own copy of Wicked, and I also (at last!) managed to track down a copy of the new Doctor Who soundtrack. I knew I had to have it when we found out that the happy little song from "The Christmas Invasion" is on the CD, as well as another song by the same guy. I have to say, I very much approve of the composer's work writing the lyrics for both those songs. They're at once very appropriate to the series and yet not too specific... although, wow, the second and third verses of "Song for Ten" put me in a whole new round of sadness over the events of "Doomsday." Alas. Anyway, I adore songs with lyrics, and those are rare on sci-fi soundtracks. ♥
Last but not least, after a brief stop at home, I bought a cat carrier for Mister Theoden. And confirmed that the pet store I shop at does indeed sell and engrave tags, so as soon as I have our new address down for certain I will be able to get him a tag with it. Yay!

Date: 2007-06-17 04:09 pm (UTC)Yay for Doctor Who! We finished the 2nd series last week, and now we're trying to find a source of some kind for 3rd. And also waiting on some of the old stuff from the library. Should be interesting.
