This is not the Extra Special Guest Star that I was hoping for.

They're very cute, of course. But... now I have to spend the next six months wondering "but... can Kylie Minogue act?" I've often said that I'm glad I didn't know a thing about Billie Piper before seeing the series. Now I know how I would've felt if I had. :P

While I'm at it, I will state that I won't believe this until I see it 'officially.' But... still.

Addendum: Apparently the new companion for the season will be Catherine Tate as Donna, of "Runaway Bride" fame/familiarity. I am... less than thrilled by this, but will take it on hope that they know what they're doing. I was not a gigantic fan of her as a guest, but... hopefully she'll be more entertaining / less annoying as a permanent character?

At least we get Martha back halfway through the season...

I apparently need to make a "confused" Doctor Who icon. Fixed that, with some help from nekokoban! Also, apparently there's three months between the Christmas special and the season proper? o_O Cruel and unusual!

Heh, it made the BBC six o'clock news, so definitely happening :D

She's not a bad actress, not brilliant but not terrible either. No where near as good as Billie or Freema though.

This is me being jealous that all of you over there get to hear these things first hand, whereas in America we're lucky if we happen across the rumors on the 'net. :P

Alas. Fortunately, I expect this is a one-shot kind of thing. Likely to be amusing, if nothing else!

I still want at least a reference to the Ninth Doctor being on the ship, though!
