rivendellroseDidn't get to bed til 5:40 this morning... after not getting to bed til 3am that morning, and sleeping in til 11. Why is this a problem, you ask? Because I have work at 7:30 tomorrow. Which royally sucks. But hey... it's money.
Anyway, it was worth it, even though I'm going to be a slug tomorrow.
Went to Holland America's holiday party with Tiff - a very nice party all in all: got to dress up in a formal (with my hair curled by Dora, no less!), met some cool people, had wonderful food, saw a pretty good comedy act, and listened to karaoke. Tiff was going to sing, but then another girl took the song she'd picked and we couldn't find another she was comfortable with... so that was the end of that. Also, I was attacked by a powdered sugar thingy... but we got most of it off the dress.
Arrived home to the dorm just in time to see the fire-trucks getting ready to leave. Another damned fire alarm, probably something to do with the Apple Cup - yes, we beat the Cougars. I have a hard time seeing this as a big thing, but the campus full of now-hungover morons would probably disagree with me. Anyway, after that I spent time with Terra, Dora, and Sean. Learned a few new swing steps (go me!), listened to wonderful poetry, and just generally *talked*. About anything and everything.
So, a great big "wheeeeee" from me today. I have massive amounts of homework and stuff to do, and am scared mindless about my story excerpt being critiqued on Tuesday, but for now..... yay!
