The deaths of thousands of people through an act of violence is no good reason to perpetuate further violence. That will be the entirety of my comment on this anniversary.

Moving on... to something completely pointless and fannish, because I don't feel like lingering too long on the serious stuff because it will upset me.

I wish to state for the record that my subconscious has apparently absorbed enough Doctor Who that I dreamed a nearly-theme-complete classic episode last night. It was set in a quarry. And there were cavemen. And some kind of artifact that we (yes, we - I have no idea who the hell I was, but I was there) were trying to protect from afore-mentioned cavemen. And I couldn't actually tell you which incarnation of the Doctor was there, though I suspect the Brigadier and Sarah Jane were both present, which I suppose makes it Four.

Insert requisite griping about finally dreaming about the Doctor only to manage exactly what is usually seen on the TV here, along with equally requisite griping about the Doctor not having been in his ninth incarnation. My brain really is too attached to canon...
