Someone posted this in my anthropology community, and I thought it was an article worth passing on.

'At one of the few museums to stage America's shameful past, slavery re-enactors want to reflect more of the brutality.'

It's a very interesting look into what it takes to re-enact some of the more touchy aspects of history, with a look at several angles on the subject.

What a wonderful article. I would love to meet Kitty Wilson-Evans.
She sounds like quite an interesting woman, I would love to have the chance to talk with her.

She really does, doesn't she? She sounds very wise, just from what she said in the article.

This site ( http://www.chmuseums.org/ourstaff.htm ) lists an email address and phone number for her. There's a good chance if you email her with some good questions you'd get a response sooner or later. I doubt she's famous enough to have too huge of an email queue to not be able to read them all.
