The final version will use a white ruffled blouse, not the white tank I'm wearing in this picture, but that's close enough for a 'sample' picture for those who have (very kindly) asked about this, or been wondering what the heck I've been fussing about for the last few months. For reference, I've uploaded a comparable picture of the actual costume (on the actual Romana ;) ) here.

It's not a perfect match, of course, but I think it's decent. *g*

Nah, I'm seriously excited about this costume. I thought for the longest time I wouldn't be able to get it together, but it's finally working! The pants are hilarious - I can't tell if it shows well enough in the picture, but they're brown and pink plaid. ♥ So very Romana-as-girl!Doctor.

I kind of want to, but the cut of the collar isn't quite right on this jacket, and I'm not sure whether the trim would make that look bad. I might pin on some ribbon to see how it looks, and decide that way.

...Mostly, it'll probably depend on how much time I have. lol

Found it at Buffalo last weekend - I was just there looking for pants to go with the other outfit, but I found the entire pink outfit that day, too!

I'll probably wear the brown outfit one day at the con, if I can get the sash and circlet together in time - that'll take a fabric store trip and a bit of work. But either way it'll get worn for other things.

The scarf was actually what started the whole idea - ursule made it for me last fall, and when I decided on going to the con, it was an easy step from there to the rest of the outfit. *g*
