Good things about today:

* Random Half-Naked Boy was getting dressed up in his bedroom across from my bus-stop again. I love when he does that. Not like I'm a perv or anything, but... if he's going to stand half-naked in his window in the middle of downtown Seattle, he really ought to expect people to look. Anyway, the view vastly improved my morning commute.
* Work is not completely insanely busy!
* I have new tea.
* Someone who's better with lyrics than I am should write a filk of "Men in Black" for Torchwood. It could be hilarious, I'm just sooo not up to it.

Bad things about today:

* I'm totally exhausted. Stupid daylight savings' time.
* I can't find my thumb-drive!
* My new bra is perhaps a little too tight. Ouch. Am I incapable of buying things the right size, or what? The last one was too loose... Seriously, I haven't changed size much in the last, like, four years, but you'd never know it with how terminally stupid I am about buying bras.
* Have I mentioned how much I hate daylight savings' time? I don't do well when my circadian rhythm has to take a change.
* Having serious fic panic in which I think the whole (42k words!) thing is crap. Bleh.

Yeah, I've felt... jet-lagged, somehow, over the last few days. Time-lagged, whatever. Maybe I'll be better by tomorrow. It's odd; I don't usually get jet-lag when I'm actually traveling cross-country - but chop an hour out of my day and I'm screwed.

That's the feeling exactly. Jet-lag usually hits me pretty hard, just like the time-shift. I guess my circadian rhythms are just really into being steady...

I figured out what was so disorienting today, I think. Waking up in darkness after weeks of waking up during daylight made me feel like I should be tired...

Daylight Savings doesn't much bother me, mostly because I always seem to be setting off to campus in the dark and returning in the dark, anyway. Alas, poor circadian rhythm - I never knew ye.

(muddled quotation quota for the day - filled!)

should write a filk of "Men in Black" for Torchwood.

Hee! That would be excellent.

Believe me, I get that all the time. That's about the time when I stop looking at it, send it off to a beta or just post the darn thing. I think of it this way: if I didn't get thoroughly sick and tired of a fic at some point, it'd probably never get posted because I'd keep wanting to tweak it. ;)

(I wouldn't be able to give you any detailed feedback just now, but I'd love to read said fic if you'd like a second opinion. I could give blanket impressions, possibly?)

I normally get home in the dark, but up until today I was getting up in the light... so today's dark morning really threw me off my game, so to speak. My circadian system is waaaaay too used to this whole 'steady job with regular hours' thing. :P

Maybe I'll knock the Torchwood idea in my roommate's direction - she's good with that kind of thing. Hmm... if we get worthwhile results, I'll make sure to post them. ;)

I'm pretty used to it for small fic, I've just never had one this big to panic over. And hey, if you're willing to read it, I'm thrilled - I'll send it your way either this evening or tomorrow. I'm probably at the point where I'm not going to get anything else done on editing it for a while, anyway.

I panicked embarrassingly the whole time I wrote "Argumentum Ad Metam" (mostly because I told myself I'd finish it in under a week). Never a good feeling!

I'll send it your way either this evening or tomorrow

Great! Looking forward to seeing it - I can have a much more detailed beta for you later, obviously, but it'll be nice to get some first impressions.

God, I totally hear ya on daylight savings time.

I enjoyed your list. These types of lists really make me smile for some reason.

On the new bra front, you can buy extentions for bras for just a few bucks, sounds like just what yo need.
I will pick one up and send it to you. Did you end up with white or beige, I forget.

Also, which half of the boy is naked? The good half or the "good" half? Not totally related, since you did say "half naked," but for some reason it really bothers me when people describe someone in their underwear as naked. ...I just felt like sharing.
