You may all point and laugh about how long it took me to come to this conclusion, then take a stupid test and come up with the same result immediately.
Now to figure out whether bronze or silver looks better with blue... ;)
Yeah, I'm thinking that, too. Besides, that means one less skein of yarn to buy, since I'm already making blue/silver for a friend to go with her movie-canon outfit.
The disparities between the movie and book in regards to props are kind of annoying. I am making the wands from the movies for peoples costumes, and for example the book specifies Holly wood for the wand. and 11 inches fo the length. Which when you compare them to the movie, is totally off base. Holly has no grain, and the movie one has a definite grain to it. Also, 11 inches is REALLY short. I ended up fudging a bit, and making the shaft 11", which looks about right for the one that is used in the movie. Ron's is supposed to be longer than harry's about 13", but the movie one looks a bit shorter. Shrug what can ya do.
Especially since JK Rowling probably just picked woods that sounded cool, not ones that work well for lathing into wands. :)
Btw, nice scarf! I'm a Hufflepuff as well. Which are seen in the movies even less than Ravenclaw I think. :)
