....You guys, I'm so very, very, very confused by this.

Edit! Feck, I forgot - potential (possibly now real?) SPOILERS for S4 of Doctor Who, also. DAMN. Sorry to anybody who got further than the first bit at the beginning and then panicked, because... to be honest, the first bit at the beginning kind of fried my brain and made me forget the whole "spoilers!" part. Sorry.

Legit? UK folks or anybody else who might actually know something about the Independent as a news-source, please share! I.... my innate skepticism says "no way!" but my eternal fangirl optimism... well, my eternal fangirl optismism is trying to write a panicked LJ entry at the same time as scanning the article for mention of Lalla, to be perfectly frank. As much as I fangirl Dawkins (and I do! To a nearly-frightening extent! K can vouch for this!!!), I'd much prefer to see Lalla on the show again!

Edit: Finished skimming article. Am entirely perplexed, albeit a bit giddily excited. ...Still wondering how they would get Dawkins without Tennant falling to his knees and begging for Lalla as well, judging by his fanboy performance over her in "The Five Doctors" audio commentary. At the very least, it's nice to know that I won't be alone in feeling her absence, if this is true...

It figures that I got the link to this right after finishing an emergency cup of extra-strong tea to wake myself up. I'm awake now! I'm awake! I'm so awake I'm buzzing! And I still can't concentrate on work. *Headdesk*

Aaaand thanks to ciara_belle for confirmation that this is coming from a legit news-source. I shall now attempt to stop being useless at work.

If by "suggest" you mean came right out and said that Richard Dawkins will be guest-starring on Doctor Who, playing himself, then... yeah, that's what I got out of it, too. Although it's entirely possible that I'm delusional, at this point. That's part of why I linked it - I don't trust my own senses, at this point!

...And I'm editing all over the place because I'm braindead and caffeinated - there are also spoilers. Other than the maybe-spoilers. It's all very confusing.

It certainly seems to be legit... and honestly, if someone was going to prank with a celebrity guest-star, one would think they'd pick someone more likely to cause general panic, rather than just geektastic panic.
